Introducing Nirvana and David. Our newly married couple!
"Evie was an absoloute joy to work with on making my wedding dress. I had a (non wedding) dress which i loved and Evie was able to turn that into the most perfect gown i could have imagined. My dress fittings were full of laughter and excitement, and I had so much fun going on this journey with Evie. No detail is too small to mention and I'm so grateful I got to wear a Naya Bridal gown on my big day." - Nirvana
While talking over Nirvana's wedding plans and ideas, I just knew I could help. Nirvana and David wanted their big day to be super relaxed, and an intimidate family celebration. She had a day dress that she loved the shape and design of, but it was bright red. As much as this would have been amazing with her FABULOUS hair colour, Nirvana wanted a white gown in a non-traditional style. And that’s my kinda dress.
She allowed me to take my scissors to her red dress and I got to work taking it apart and using that pattern to recreate it in a white crepe. It was a perfect process as we didn’t need to do lots of fittings going back and forth getting the measurements right; the fit and style of gown was already there!
The fun couple said their vows at the Castle, then made their way through Norwich city centre with their family to have afternoon tea. En route they had their first dance alongside some buskers in the street. What a memorable first dance?! The day was simple, spontaneous and filled with joy and laughter. What more could you want...?
Wedding date - 4th September 2021
Venue - Norwich Castle

Veil - 'Angel' from Wed2b

A few images here from the exciting creation process. The OG red gown didn't have any trim on the cuff of the cap sleeves and we wanted to make it a little more special. The final gown had these crepe covered buttons from the neck to the hem, so we mirrored this through the circle trim on the cuff. Super cute, right?!
